6^th Sunday in Ordinary Time (11^th February 2018)

1. Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes

We celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes on Sunday, 11 ^th February 2018. On that day there will be the recitation of the rosary at 6.15pm at the grotto.

2. 26^th World Day of Sick

Sunday 11 ^th February 2018 is 26 ^th World Day of Sick. The 7 PM Mass on that day will be offered for the sick. We welcome to this Mass, all those who are sick and all those who take care of them.

3. Ash Wednesday

14^th February is Ash Wednesday, a day of fast and abstinence and beginning of the Lenten Season. The Mass timings are:
English Mass             : Morning 5.45, 7 & 8, Evening: 5, 6 & 7pm
Malayalam Mass     : 8.15 pm in the Church
Tagalog Mass           : 8.15 pm in Parish Hall
Syro-Malabar Mass: 8.15 pm in the Church on 12^th February, Monday.

4. Lenten season

• With Ash Wednesday, we enter into the Lenten season.  During this time we omit “Alleluia” and “Gloria”; please do not bring flowers to place on the Altar/ Sanctuary. Instead, you can make your love offering for the poor and needy.

• Fast & Abstinence is prescribed for Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. As a general rule, abstinence is prescribed on every Wednesday during Lent.

• My Lenten Sacrifice Envelope: Every family and individual are requested to take the “My Lenten Sacrifice for the poor and needy envelopes” which are available at Church entrance and Parish Office

• Kindly bring the blessed palms and hand them over to the Parish office before Sunday, 11^th Feb

5. Way of the cross

English            : Daily – Morning 5 am and Evening before all Holy Mass 
Malayalam    : Every Wednesday at 7.45pm in the Church
Konkani         : Every Saturday at 6.30pm in the Parish Hall
Tamil              : Every Friday at 4.30 pm in the Parish Hall
Tagalog        : Every Friday and Sunday before the Mass
Legion of Mary: Every Monday after 7.00 pm Mass

6. Birthday and Wedding anniversary Thanksgiving Mass

Birthday and Wedding Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 22 ^nd February at 7.00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Chapel. Please register for the same at the Parish office before the 21 ^st of February.

7. World Youth Day in Panama

Parishioners, who have registered for the World Youth Day-2019 held in Panama, are requested to make an advance payment of AED 1000/- per person to confirm their registration at Parish office before 20 ^th February 2018.

8. SPECIAL MASS FOR STUDENTS OF GRADE 10 & 12

There will be a Special Mass with Adoration for 10 ^th and 12 ^th Grade Students on Saturday 17 ^th February at 10.00 AM onwards in the Church.  The Students and their parents are encouraged to participate in.

9. There will be book Sales at Church premises by the Sisters of St. Paul on 16th Friday, 17^th Saturday and 18^th Sunday of February. You are encouraged to come prepared to buy these spiritual and useful books.
