CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
1^st Sunday of Lent   (10^th March 2019)

1. Lenten season

We wish all of you a blessed Lenten season.  Please note the following:

• Way of the Cross Timings

During lent, instead of Rosary, there will be Way of the cross as follows:
English                       : Monday to Thursday 5.00 am and 06.15 am
                                    : Friday 5.00 am, 5.00 pm in the Church & 06.15 pm in Parish Hall
                                    : Saturday 5.00 am, 8 am, 5.00pm & 6.30 pm
                                    : Sunday 5.00am, 06.15am, 8am, 5pm, & 6.30pm
Malayalam                 : Every Wednesday at 7.45pm in the Church
Konkani                     : Every Saturday at 6.30pm in Parish Hall
Tamil                          : Every Friday after Tamil Mass in the Parish Hall
Tagalog                      : Every Sunday before Tagalog Mass
Urdu                           : Every Friday at 11.30 at St. Francis Assisi Chapel
Legion of Mary         : Every Monday after 7.00 pm Mass
 

• During this time we omit “Alleluia” and “Gloria”; please do not bring flowers to place on the Altar/ Sanctuary. Instead, you can give your love offering for the poor and needy.
• Abstinence is prescribed on every Wednesday during Lent.
• My Lenten Sacrifice Envelope: Every family and individual are requested to take the “My Lenten Sacrifice for the poor and needy envelopes” which are available at Church entrance and Parish Office.

 

2. Apologetic Talk

There will be a very good apologetic talk on the topic “WHY WOULD A LOVING GOD ALLOW EVIL, PAIN AND SUFFERING” on Friday 22 March, during the Divine Mercy prayer meeting at the Parish Hall, after the 7 PM Mass. The speaker will be Mr. Steve Helmer, the president of Catholic Apologetics Institute of North America. All are welcome to attend. For further details kindly refer the notice board.
 

3. Parish Lenten Mission:  

The Parish Lenten Mission, animated by Bishop Mar Joseph Pamplani, will be from Monday 1 ^st April to Thursday 4 ^th April from 6.30 PM to 9.30 PM. Please note, during this time all Prayer meetings and other activities in the Church Premises are cancelled
 

4. Pope Souvenir Goody Bag

Pope Souvenir Goody Bags are available with a special discount price of AED 20. Parishioners are encouraged to buy the Goody bags. The proceeds will go to Pope’s Charity Fund.
