Instructions to the faithful by His Excellency Bishop Paul Hinder, the Vicar Apostolic of Arabia
Except for the mass at 05.45 am on Saturdays, all the other masses in English on Saturdays and Sundays will be obligatory masses from the First Week of March. Language masses celebrated on Fridays or any other days can also use the Sunday Liturgy.
Instead of Wednesday, Friday will be the day of penance (abstinence/fasting) in the UAE, including Lent.
The faithful who cannot have holidays on Saturdays and Sundays may fulfil the obligation by attending mass on any other day of the week.
Henceforth on Fridays, the mass at 05.30 pm is canceled and the mass at 07.00 pm will be a weekday mass.
